It Takes Two Pick Up The Phone

Why is communication so hard for us at times? I think because people always feel like they may be verbally attacked or scared to hear someone else's opinion. I have learned that to effectively communicate, a good listener has to be willing to listen without feeling they are judged. The speaker has to be willing to speak without "you" statements and get the point across without aggression.

Yes, I know that everyone has feelings. Yet, sometimes feelings get hurt, misunderstandings occur and then the water is convoluted. Just remember because someone asks a question, makes a comment or suggestion does not mean they are attacking you. It is probably because they care and would not have said anything if they did not. However,  today communication is hard when people hide behind text messages, Facebook and tweet message boxing instead of picking up the phone. Today more than any other time in history people get stressed out when they have to communicate. Why have cell phones? We do not use them to talk. We use them to avoid the basic need of humans to feel they are cared about and heard.
