I love BLT and I love avocados so when I came across this sandwich which marries the two, I just had to snag the recipe to try it. I used this recipe as a guide since I don't like sunny side up eggs.

Our Soulfood Super Star of the week are apples. It is important to form a healthy relationship with food, and the best way to do that is to get to know them a lot better.
My favorites apples are Honey Crisp, Granny Smith, and Fuji, but I don't eat them as much as I should. With my new knowledge of apples, make a commitment to eat at least four to five apples a week.
#TechMunch Atlanta conference was filled with valuable information, lots of food, networking and good times, all the ingredients for a successful event but...if that wasn't enough, after the #TechMunch event, all the bloggers were invited over to the West Egg Cafe.
The West Egg Cafe is a sweet spot located in Atlanta's Westside, a community of shops and restaurants.
I love Saturday mornings! The stillness and peace of the early mornings before it is filled with the noise of the city.
1. A silent prayer over my daughter, while she sleeps. ♡
2. Getting up early to meditate and having ‘me’ time.
3. Long morning walks.
4. A big breakfast.
5. This morning, I decided to visit the Farmers Market in Buckhead, Georgia. I haven’t been this year and it is a beautiful, cool and breezy morning.
The Farmers Market is open from April-December every year.
Guess who's coming to dinner this week?
Plantains, they are a delicious treat as a side dish. Plantains are grown all year round in Asia, Africa, India, the Caribbean and Central and South America and imported into North America, and are usually cheapest during the winter months.
If you are not familiar with plantains, you can find them in the fresh produce section of the grocery store, and look like bananas (but are longer and thicker).
They are considered a starchy vegetable but when they are cooked can be used as a yummy desert to add to your meal
The best part about the holidays are homemade decorations and gifts. I enjoy arts and crafts and when I came across the DIY Trophy Bottle Tops.
Make them for your next soirée to represent your child(ren)'s achievement or as creative gifts for family and friends.

Melissa Clark'S devil’s food cakes look delicious. She uses two types of frosting: black pepper buttercream and chocolate fudge.
According to Melissa Clark, broiling is the best way to make soft-shell crabs.
Three good reasons to broil crabs them:
- Cooks fast (2-3 minutes)
- Crispy on the outside
- Stays juicy inside

We didn't have the convenience of ice cream trucks growing up. The magic of home made ice-cream was always a treat at our outdoors family gatherings and I had to share this delicious looking treat. The dog days of summer have not left yet, but you might try this home-made treat to keep you cool and get you through the rest of the summer.
